Our refund policy outlines your eligibility for monetary refunds, travel credits, and your rights under U.S. Department of Transportation regulations. All refunds are issued according to airline policies, ticket conditions, and applicable law. This policy applies to all bookings made through our services.

Refundable tickets are premium fares that include the right to cancel and receive a full monetary refund of your ticket price (minus applicable airline service fees, which are typically $0-$25). Refundable tickets are commonly available in premium economy, business class, and first-class cabins. Some airlines also offer refundable economy fares at higher prices. When you cancel a refundable ticket, you receive a refund to your original payment method within the airline's standard processing timeline (typically 7-20 business days). We process your cancellation immediately and provide you with a refund reference number to track your reimbursement.

4. Non-Refundable Tickets

Non-refundable tickets represent the majority of economy class bookings and offer the lowest fares in exchange for restricted refund rights. When you cancel a non-refundable ticket, you do not receive a monetary refund. Instead, your ticket value is held as a travel credit that you can apply toward any future flight with the same airline. Non-refundable travel credits are typically valid for one year from your original booking date. The credit can be used for any future flight at no change fee (though you may pay a fare difference if the new flight costs more). Travel credits are airline-specific and cannot be transferred to another passenger or converted to cash. If you do not use your travel credit within one year, it expires and is forfeited.

Some flight cancellations may result in fees charged by the airline or by AirTkt Reservation Services. These fees include:

• Airline Cancellation Fees: Fees charged by the carrier for canceling a non-refundable ticket (typically $0-$200+). These fees are deducted from your travel credit value or charged to you separately.
• Agency Service Fee: AirTkt Reservation Services does not charge a service fee for processing cancellations. You pay only airline-imposed fees.

All applicable fees will be explained to you before you authorize a cancellation. We provide transparent disclosure of all charges.

6. Airline-Initiated Cancellations

When an airline cancels a flight due to scheduling changes, operational issues, or other carrier-initiated reasons, you have specific rights under Department of Transportation regulations:

• Full Refund Option: You have the right to receive a full refund of your ticket price and all taxes and fees if you do not wish to be rebooked
• Rebooking Option: The airline must offer to rebook you on their next available flight to your destination at no additional charge
• Compensation Rights: If you are rebooked more than one hour late, you may be entitled to compensation: up to $400 for flights under 1,400 miles; up to $600 for flights over 1,400 miles

We assist you in understanding your rights and help you pursue any compensation you are entitled to. Weather-related cancellations and security threats may exempt airlines from compensation obligations; however, you still retain refund and rebooking rights.

7. No-Show Policy

If you fail to appear for your flight without canceling in advance, the airline marks you as a "no-show." When you are a no-show:

• Your ticket is automatically forfeited with no refund issued (even for refundable fares)
• Your return flight or any subsequent flight segments are typically cancelled automatically
• You forfeit all value of the ticket
• Some airlines may apply future booking penalties to your account

To avoid no-show consequences, always contact us or the airline if you cannot fly. Canceling your reservation preserves your rights to travel credits (for non-refundable fares) or refunds (for refundable fares). A cancellation protects your ticket value even if you ultimately decide not to travel.

8. Refund Processing Timeline

Once we submit your cancellation to the airline, the refund is typically processed according to the following timeline:

• Credit Card Refunds: 5-10 business days. The refund appears in your next billing cycle.
• Debit Card Refunds: 5-10 business days. Processing time depends on your card issuer.
• Bank Account Refunds (ACH): 7-15 business days. Processing depends on your financial institution.
• International Wire Transfers: 10-20 business days depending on currency conversion and international banking processes

9. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for your flight booking, follow these steps:

• Step 1 – Gather Information: Have your booking reference (PNR), passenger name, flight details, and original payment method information ready

• Step 3 – Verify Eligibility: We review your ticket to confirm refund eligibility and explain the refund amount you'll receive
• Step 4 – Confirm Authorization: You authorize the refund request and confirm your payment method for the refund
• Step 5 – Submit Cancellation: We submit your cancellation to the airline immediately

10. Agency Service Fee Non-Refundability

AirTkt Reservation Services does not charge service fees or booking fees for making flight reservations. You pay only the airline's quoted price plus government-imposed taxes and fees. Our agency does not assess any fees that would be non-refundable.
